ALONZO SAUNDERS is an accomplished singer, actor and dancer whose professional career has taken him from Broadway and London's West End to television, film, regional theatre and concert stages throughout the United States and internationally.
Saunders made his Broadway mark in the Tony Award-winning musical Show Boat, directed by Hal Prince, and later appeared on Broadway in the revival of Chicago as Mary Sunshine, directed by Walter Bobbie. His theatrical career continued internationally with the London West End production of The Rat Pack Live From Las Vegas, in which he portrayed Sammy Davis Jr.
His regional theatre credits include Chicago at San Diego Music Theatre (Craig Noel Nomination), The Real Love at Pasadena Civic Auditorium,
Sammy at San Diego's Old Globe Theatre, La Cage aux Folles at Stages St. Louis, and A Chorus Line at Theatre By The Sea.
On screen, Saunders has built a growing body of film and television work, with credits including Hacks for HBO Max,
Blindspotting for STARZ, Get Shorty for EPIX, and General Hospital for ABC-Disney. He has also appeared on Conan O’Brien and in My Secret Billionaire.
As a vocalist, Saunders has performed in concert and special engagements with organizations including the Lansing Symphony Orchestra, Grand Rapids Symphony, Rockford Symphony, Timberlane Orchestra and Artis Naples. He has also appeared as a guest artist aboard Holland America's Nieuw Amsterdam. His vocal range and experience encompass jazz, pop and musical theatre.
Saunders continues to develop his career across screen, stage and music, bringing the breadth of a seasoned performer together with a focus on the next chapter of his work in film and television.
