ALONZO SAUNDERS, an accomplished singer, actor and dancer who is proud to have worked with legendary directors and choreographers on Broadway. He made his Broadway debut in Harold Prince and Susan Stroman’s Tony award winning musical epic, SHOWBOAT (1995 Tony Awards). He also starred on Broadway in the 1996 Tony award winning revival of CHICAGO and grace both the National and International companies in the role of Mary Sunshine.
He received a CRAIG NOEL AWARD NOMINATION for his performance in CHICAGO in the San Diego Musical Theatre production. His international exploits offered him the opportunity to star in London's West End production of THE RAT PACK LIVE from Las Vegas, as the legendary Sammy Davis Jr., which included a European tour. Saunders garnered the role of Murphy, with San Diego’s Old Globe Theatre, working with Grammy and Oscar winning legend Leslie Bricusse in the world premiere musical, SAMMY!
Continuing on the international stage, with performances in Mexico and Canadian productions of such classics as LA CAGE AUX FOLLES, RAGTIME, OLIVER and A CHORUS LINE, Alonzo has performed as featured vocalist with the LANSING, ATLANTA, ROCKFORD, TIMBERLANE and GRAND RAPIDS SYMPHONY ORCHESTRA’S. As a true tenor and male soprano he has performed sacred music and spirituals in concert for private engagements for various notable dignitaries.  
A highlight of Alonzo’s career was an engagement aboard HOLLAND AMERICA’S premiere ship, the Nieuw Amsterdam. He’s appeared in Costar and feature roles on TV and various films, Alonzo enthusiastically journey’s forward as a TV and Film actor in New York, Los Angeles and Atlanta.
His most recent venture includes: Headlining with the Lansing Symphony Orchestra Holiday Pops, a solo CD project entitled “LET ME SING” and as a co-writer/co-director with Tony nominated, Emmy Award Winner, Ted Louis Levy in his forthcoming projects! Alonzo is currently working on his first novel and 2 screenplays.
